Biography

I am a human geographer and Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Social Sciences on the ARC linkage project titled The Power of Public Spaces to Connect Communities & Places for Resilient Futures and an MD-WERP project titled Winanga-li Gunimaa Gali: Incorporating Cultural Values into Environmental Flows. My research is situated within more-than-human geographies and interdisciplinary environmental humanities and focuses on environmental planning and management, biocultural belonging and environmental justice. I am particularly interested in the challenges associated with coexistence in ontologically incommensurable, urban places. I am also a member of the Yanama Budyari Gumada collective, a Dharug-led and cross-cultural research collaboration based in Dharug Ngurra, Western Sydney. My PhD research was undertaken as part of this collective, titled Co-becoming with Dharug Ngurra: Fostering ontological pluralism and shaping multispecies cities with Country
