Biography

Dr Hazel Jenkins is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Chiropractic, Macquarie University. She has over 20 years experience as a chiropractic clinician with strong clinical interests in addressing recurrent or chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions. Hazel's research focuses on the implementation of evidenced-based care for low back pain into clinical practice. Hazel's teaching focuses on the appropriate use and diagnosis of musculoskeletal radiology. She completed her doctorate through the Department of Health Professions, Macquarie University, looking at reducing the inappropriate use of imaging in the management of low back pain. Hazel has research experience in systematic literature reviews, intervention development and implementation, survey design, and cross-sectional research. She has been published in leading journals in the field, including CMAJ, European Journal of Pain, and The Spine Journal. Hazel has won numerous awards for her research both nationally and internationally.
