Biography
Dr Hazel Jenkins is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chiropractic, Macquarie University. She has over 20 years experience as a chiropractic clinician with strong clinical interests in addressing recurrent or chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions. Hazel's research focuses on the implementation of evidenced-based care for low back pain into clinical practice. Hazel's teaching focuses on clinical decision-making and the appropriate use and interpretation of musculoskeletal diagnostic imaging. She completed her doctorate through Macquarie University, looking at reducing the inappropriate use of imaging in the management of low back pain. Hazel has research experience in systematic literature reviews, clinical education, epidemiological research, intervention development and implementation, and clinical trials. She has been published in leading journals in the field, including Lancet Rheumatology, CMAJ, European Journal of Pain, and The Spine Journal. Hazel has won numerous awards for her research both nationally and internationally.
