Biography
Heidi Hillebrandt is a PhD student in the Department of Biomedical Sciences supervised by Professor Ralph Martins and Dr Cintia Botelho Dias. Her research focuses on exploring if medium-chain triglyceride (mct) oil can provide enough energy to the brain efficiently to prevent or delay the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.
In addition to her PhD research, Heidi works as a research assistant on other projects for the CoMBAT-AD team.
She also holds a Bachelor of Science in rehabilitation psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, and a Master of Philosophy in exercise and sport science from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
