Personal profile

Biography

My PhD is from Macquarie University, and I am now a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. I have worked at the Optoelectronics Research Centre at Southampton University, UK, and held a range of research fellowships including an ARC (Australian Research Council) Future Fellowship (2012-2017) prior to commencing my current Teaching and Research position. I have general expertise in lasers, optics and spectroscopy, and specialist expertise in crystalline Raman lasers, Terahertz lasers, and remote sensing using Raman and other spectroscopies. I have contributed to several patents which have been licensed by external organisations, and have enjoyed many successful research partnerships with government organisations and companies.
