Biography

Ícaro is a doctoral candidate at the School of Education at Macquarie University. He holds degrees in International Relations (BA, Hons, MA, and MRes). Based upon his past professional experience of more than 5 years in the higher education sector, his current research examines the experiences of undergraduate and postgraduate students in an exchange program in Australia.

Teaching and Leadership

Ícaro has been serving as a tutor in the Bachelor of Arts program since 2023, with a particular focus on ARTS 1000: Humanities and the World. Additionally, Ícaro has actively participated in university affairs, engaging in two committees: the Graduate Research Advisory Group (GRAC) and the Sexual Safety and Wellbeing Committee Student Advisory Group (SSWC). Furthermore, he holds the position of Student Representative for Internships within the School of Education.
