Biography

Irina is a Senior Lecturer and a Discipline Lead in Anatomy at the Department of Chiropractic, Macquirie University, Sydney, Australia. She holds an equivalent of the Australian Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Russia and a PhD degree in Medicine (Department of Anatomy and Histology) from The University of Sydney. Irina has over 20 years of experience in designing of educational innovation in higher education and has taught  Anatomy and Physiology at top universities in Australia. Irina has 38 peer-reviewed publications in the field of molecular interactions of muscle proteins, neuroscience and rehabilitation. Irina’s present research interests include learner-centric educational practices and evidence-based instructional design.
