Biography

Jenny Batchelor, B.B.Sc.(Hons), M.Sc., PhD, is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Macquarie University. She is the current Director of the Postgraduate Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University. Jenny is a registered psychologist and has endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia. She completed her Master of Clinical Neuropsychology at Melbourne University and her PhD at Macquarie University, under the supervision of Emeritus Professor Max Coltheart. 

Research interests

Jenny specialises in the assessment of outcome follwing Traumatic Brain Injury, with particular interests in litigating samples, medico-legal issues, poor outcome follwing mild traumatic brain injury and duration of post-traumatic amnesia as a predictor of recovery.

Jenny has recently developed a research program in Sports Related Concussion. Presently she is investigating the reliability of neurcognitive measures of sports related concussion as well as outcome from conscussion of different severities and frequencies.

Jenny is also researching the efficacy of cognitive rehabilitation in Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders. Other research interests include Delerium, and the role of cognition in risky driving behaviour in young samples.
