Biography

Graduated from Chemical Engineering at UNSW, Dr. Joe (Zeheng) Lin is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Applied Biosciences. His ongoing research is dedicated to translating his engineering expertise into developing a practical electrochemical detection device that can detect volatile compounds emitted by invasive insect pests in real time with high selectivity and sensitivity. Through this development, his research project aims to address the urgent challenges in the agriculture sector associated with invasive pests, contributing to Australia’s biosafety and biosecurity.
