Biography
I study and teach topics related to both advanced hearing aid technolgy and the public health side of audiology.
One key area of interest is to establish maximally effective and efficient hearing rehabilitation techniques for use in low to middle income countries. Also to establish the burden of hearing related disease in developing countries.
Current research projects also include; evaluating the impact of noise on communication in surgical environments, investigating the use of musical based auditory training programs to improve listening performance in the hearing impaired, and evaluating the impact of clinician gender upon the patients evaluation of health information.
