Personal profile

I am a PhD Candidate within the Centre for Emotional Health (CEH) at Macquarie University, supervised by A/Prof Melissa Norberg and Dr Miri Forbes. My research focuses on hoarding disorder and compulsive buying. I am currently investigating the factors that lead to difficulty throwing things away and excessive buying, such as cognitions and motivations, object attachment, anthropomorphism, emotional dysregulation, and interpersonal attachment style. The aim of my research is to better understand the causal and maintenance factors of these disorders so we can develop more effective treatments for hoarding disorder and compulsive buying.

I also work as a casual tutor in PSYU1105 - Introduction to Psychology II, PSYU2248 - Design and Statistics II, and PSYU3337 - Psychopathology.
