Biography
- Registered physiotherapist with over 30 years combined clinical and teaching experience, primarily in the area of cardiopulmonary physiotherapy.
- Integrative physiologist primarily focussing on cardiovascular, cerbrovascular, and respiratory interactions in human models, with applications in health (rest and imposed stressors) and disease. Current research foccuses on mechanisms and management of autonomic dysfunction in individuals with connective tissue disorders.
- Teaches in units across the Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT), Doctor of Medicine and previously Bachelor of Clinical Science programmes. Convenes the final year advanced research units in the DPT programme. Has been awarded a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
- Supervises Higher Degree Research (MRes and PhD) students.
- Stage 2 Lead of the DPT programme.
