Karim Pourhamzavi, Department of Modern History, Politics and International Relations at Macquarie University. His current research focuses on the historical correlation between jihadist movements and global hegemony. Karim's research within the discipline of International Political Economy as a sub-branch of Political Science has produced multiple publications in English and Farsi languages. In 2016, Karim was granted the Visiting Young Scholarship by the Centre for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University. In 2017-2018, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of History at Glasgow University.
