Personal profile

Biography

I am a Teaching & Leadership Academic (FHEA) and Senior Lecturer in Statistics at the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. I engage diverse cohorts through upbeat live lectures that utilise GenAI-enhanced active learning and Peer Instruction, with a strong focus on real-world applications. I also lead the Statistical Consulting Hub, which connects research, industry, and data-driven practices.

I completed a Master of Science in Mathematics at Jagiellonian University in Poland and a PhD in Statistics at Macquarie University. After gaining seven years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst at Westpac Institutional Banking, I returned to academia and have taught statistics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including large-enrolment units.

My work centres on advancing innovation in GenAI-enhanced education, shaping pedagogical practice, and fostering collaboration across teaching and industry contexts. As an elected member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), I contribute to the global statistics education community through teaching innovation and active participation in international conferences.
