Biography

Kazi is a researcher with a background in bioanalytical chemistry and molecular diagnostics, with a particular focus on nucleic-acid-based biomarkers. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Macquarie University, where his research focuses on analyzing cancer-specific DNA methylation and other epigenetic modifications using advanced analytical techniques, including surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Previously, during his  Master’s at Jeonbuk National University, he worked on DNA/RNA-based disease biomarker diagnosis and mRNA-based therapeutics. Through his academic training, he has gained extensive hands-on experience with a range of advanced bioanalytical techniques applied to nucleic acid research. His research interests lie at the intersection of analytical chemistry, nanotechnology, and molecular biology to develop robust platforms for early disease diagnosis and targeted therapeutics, where fundamental research can be translated into practical applications.
