Biography

Dr Kevin Danastas is a Lecturer (Teaching and Leadership) in the School of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering at Macquarie University. Kevin completed his PhD in 2018 in field of reproductive biology before joining a research team at The Westmead Institute for Medical Research looking at how the immune system and nervous system interact during viral infections. In 2022, he joined Macquarie University as a Neuroscience Teaching Fellow and in 2025 was appointed as a Lecturer in Human Biology in the School of Natural Sciences

Teaching

Kevin's teaching is focussed on human physiology and teaches into several units in the School of Natural Sciences. He is also the major lead for the Human Biology major of The Bachelor of Science.
