Biography
Khalia joined the Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research in 2020 as a Research Assistant in the Health Analytics and Patient Safety team. She is currently involved in projects aimed at evaluating and improving tools for early sepsis identification in the hospital environment. Her PhD project is on the morbidity and long-term mortality of Australian sepsis survivors.
Khalia was awarded first class honours for her honours thesis on liver immunology in 2017 and completed her MPH at UNSW, for which she was awarded the Public Health and Community Medicine Prize for the highest achieving postgraduate coursework student in her cohort.
