Biography

I am now heading space-related projects at the Australian Astronomical Optics, an application-focused department within Macquarie University.

I get excited about pursuing creative ways to view the universe using new technology. I am principal investigator of the Huntsman Telescope, which uses off-the-shelf Canon telephoto lenses plus cameras that use the same technology as mobile phones.

This expanded into space, with my efforts to launch a similar single lens system into space with the Australian Space Eye. We've merged this effort into the SkyHopper Space Telescope mission.
