Biography

Dr Lisa Pont is a registered pharmacist and Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University where she specializes in Drug utilization and health systems research around the quality and safety of medicine use. Prior to this she has worked as the clinical pharmacy manager for Central Coast Health. She remains engage with hospital pharmacy practice in Australian as an elected Director of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia. Internationally she is a Fellow and Board member of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE). She has published over 40 peer reviewed publications and been awarded over $1.2 million in research funding.  Lisa has a keen interest in all aspects of medication safety, quality improvement and pharmacoepidemiology.
