She holds a PhD from the University of Sydney examining the implementation of an innovative GP-physiotherapist model of care for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease into primary care. Dr Pagano has expertise in mixed-methods research with a special interest in healthcare and health services research, drawing upon implementation science frameworks and theoretical constructs to examine impact and change. Her current work focuses on examining the implementation of perioperative care pathways into a private hospital setting using mixed-methods research. Dr Pagano is also an AHPRA-registered practicing physiotherapist, specialising in the clinical areas of paediatrics and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy.
Teaching experience:
Dr Pagano has taught across numerous physiotherapy subjects for undergraduate and posgraduate courses at the University of Sydney including:
- Physiotherapy for cardiorespiratory and acute care conditions
- Musculoskeletal physiotherapy for lumbar spine, upper and lower limb
- Fundamentals of musculoskeletal physiotherapy assessment and treatment
