Research interests

My research is mainly focused on understanding the interplay between ecological and large-scale processes in shaping marine ecosystems. I am interested in identifying key ecological functions required to maintain ecosystem functioning for a) improving predictions of the effects of environmental disturbances on future global biodiversity and b) to offer approaches to both the management andrestoration of marine ecosystems. During my Ph.D., I investigated the impacts of climate change on benthic and fish assemblages across multi-spatial and temporal scales, and the contribution of fish larval connectivity for biodiversity conservation and sustainable fisheries globally.
