Biography
Dr. Lyungmae Choi joined Macquarie Business School as a Senior Lecturer in 2026. Prior to joining Macquarie, she was a Lecturer at the University of Newcastle (2024–2026) and an Assistant Professor at the City University of Hong Kong (2017–2023). She was also a Visiting Scholar at the University of Sydney (2023–2024).
Her research lies at the intersection of corporate finance and capital markets, with a particular interest in how various market participants shape corporate decision-making and capital market outcomes. Her work has examined topics including insider trading, social networks, labor markets, and mergers and acquisitions.
Her research has been published in FT50 and A* journals, including Management Science, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Accounting and Public Policy.
