Biography

I am a cultural geographer and an associate lecturer at the Department of Geography and Planning at Macquarie University. My background is in tourism studies and leisure studies and I have completed my doctoral degree in Human Geography at the University of Graz (Austria). My research has explored the intersectionality of gender and class in leisure space; the biopolitics of tourism; digitally mediated tourism; and tourism geographies produced by the digital (with an empirical focus on the Airbnb platform). My current projects focus on the biopolitics of tourism and algorithmic place-making in tourism.
