Marjorie Li is a PhD researcher in the School of Psychological Sciences at Macquarie University. Her research investigates how cultural bias influences judgments of cultural origin, emotional expression, and meaning in music across cultures, and examines how active engagement with music from other cultures may help reduce these biases. She is a musician, plays the Chinese pipa (four-string lute), and actively engages in world music ensembles and community music groups.
