Biography

Mark Carter is an Associate Professor in Special Education. 

Mark teaches across a number of postgraduate Special Education programs and contributes to units on high support needs and research methods. He currently convenes the following units:

SPED823 - Students with High Support Needs: Curriculum and Instruction

SPED828 - Professional Practice in Special Education 

SPED831 - Assessment and Intervention in Communication

SPED832 - Research Methods in Special Education

SPED833 - Research in Practice in Special Education 

Mark has a range of research interests including:

▪ Education of students with high support needs

▪ Educational issues in autism spectrum disorders

▪ Communication of individuals with intellectual disability

▪ Evidence-based practice in special education
