Biography

Marta is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Motor Neuron Disease Research, Macquarie University. She completed her PhD in Prof Julie Atkin’s group in 2018, which focused in the identification of a novel isoform of FUS and its role in ALS. In her postdoctoral studies she continues her PhD project and she is also involved in the identification of novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of ALS.
