Biography
I am an Associate Professor and Clinical Psychologist in the School of Psychological Sciences.
My applied clinical research focuses on enhancing the quality of life and wellbeing of individuals living with neurological disorders. I am particularly passionate about improving access to effective mental health care within neurology. As an emerging researcher, I have developed several complementary streams of work in this area, including mental health detection, epidemiology, psychological treatments, and health policy.
At the eCentreClinic, I have developed an internet-delivered psychological intervention for adults with a neurological disorder, the Wellbeing Neuro Course. This program combines intervention components for mental health and cognitive rehabilitation and is suitable for a variety of neurological disorders.
Research interests
Neurological Disorers, Psychological Care; Quality of Life; Anxiety; Depression; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Cognitive Rehabilitation; Mental Health Screening; Intgerated Care.
Teaching
I provide lectures at Macquarie University in my areas of expertise. This has included lectures for the Masters of Clinical Neuropsychology Program on and the Advanced Physiotherapy Program.
Community engagement
- Co-Chair of the Integrated Mental Health Care Pathways Task Force of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) Psychiatry Commission (2022 - 2025).
