Biography
One of Australia's leading academic analysts of Australian politics, public opinion, and the media, Emeritus Professor Murray Goot is the author or co-author of over 200 books, book chapters, reports, articles in national and international journals, and contributions to reference works on public opinion and voting behaviour, Australian elections and political parties, and the politics of the media.
A Distinguished Professor and Australian Research Council Australian Professorial Fellow, at the time of his retirement, Professor Goot was a Chief Investigator on a number of ARC Discovery Projects, most recently: "What Australia Thinks: A History of Australian Public Opinion Polls", and "Remaking Australian politics: electioneering from the 19th century to the 21st".
