Teaching and Leadership

Nandini is a Teaching and Leadership Academic at MQBS with over twenty-five years of teaching experience.  Her teaching philosophy is based on driving excellence in student engagement and making learning fun. 

Nandini is a recipient of the Macquarie University Vice Chancellor’s Learning and Teaching Student Nominated Award (2020). She is also a winner of Teaching Excellence awards in 2014 & 2016 at SIBT Sydney and was a Teaching Excellence award finalist at City University of Hong Kong.

She strives to innovate and improve constantly by pursuing reflective practice. She excels in taking up projects that significantly enhance student experience and improve learning and career outcomes through better engagement, curriculum design, and employability.

Nandini started her teaching career with the City University of Hong Kong in the Division of Commerce, transitioning from a career in the industry as a professional Chartered Accountant. She has over ten years of experience with City University’s  Division of Commerce, teaching multiple programs and courses to diverse student groups. She has also played the role of an educational ambassador promoting the Division's course offerings at American universities, initiating the development of new educational partnerships. 

Nandini has held senior service roles at MQBS, serving as Learning & Teaching Coordinator, Course Director M.Com, and Academic Integrity Officer.

Nandini constantly seeks opportunities for pedagogical innovation to implement creative ways to enhance student learning and experience. Her approach to innovation is leveraging technology to design and plan learning activities that are fun engaging and align to unit outcomes.

Nandini is passionate about Management Accounting and specialises in this field. Nandini's teaching style draws on her rich experience in Hong Kong and Australia and her background in professional accountancy and management studies, to meet the learning needs of a wide spectrum of students across diverse levels of academic programs and cultures.
