Biography
I am a clinical triallist and epidemiologist specialising in sleep and sleep disorders at the Woolcock Institute for Medical Research and the Macquarie University Department of Health Sciences. I use a wide variety of epidemiological research methods and designs including randomised controlled trials and population-based cohorts, including the Busselton Health Study. My colleagues and I are attempting to measure the impact of disease, the effectiveness of a variety of treatments and investigate health system activity related to sleep. I provide high-quality evidence-based information of direct and immediate utility to both practicing clinicians and policy-makers.
Students who are reading this and are interested in studying anything related to sleep or sleep disorders are invited to email me to discuss research degree pathways
Staff of the University or Hospital can also consult on clinical research projects or strategy at the Investigator Initiated Research Clinic I run with Professor Julian Gold to assist investigators realise their research plans and strategies. Please email me for an appointment.
