Mr Nicholas Cooney is a full-time PhD student within the Department of Cognitive Science at Macquarie University. He previously studied electronics engineering and biomolecular science at the undergraduate level and completed his Master of Research with a focus on biomedical and electronics engineering. He has published several conference papers based on his previous work in the development and testing of wearables for activity tracking. His current research involves mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI/concussion) diagnosis and treatment, with a focus on the biomechanics and neurophysiology associated with the injury.
