Biography

BSc Psych, Adv. Dip. Psych, PhD UNSW

Dr Peter Gates started working for CHSSR in early 2017 coming from an extensive background of research focussing on illicit drug use and primarily cannabis use. Peter has published extensively on treatments for cannabis use disorder and assisted in establishing the Cannabis Information Helpline. Presently, Peter’s work focusses on the assessment of medication errors and adverse drug events in paediatrics. His work in this field will help to establish the extent of the problem and go on to develop strategies to improve inpatient safety.
