Biography

Petra is a senior research fellow and biostatistician with GenIMPACT, the Centre for Economic Impacts of Genomic Medicine, within Macquarie Business School. Petra is also Book Review Editor for the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Statistics.

Research interests

Petra has research interests and expertise in meta-analysis, generalised linear models, longitudinal and mixed-effects modelling particularly in the areas of cognitive change, hearing, mens health and intensive care.

Teaching

Previously, Petra was part of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. There she was part of the first year Statistics team, developing material for and guiding students through first year Introductory Statistics, Business Statistics and statistics for psychology units.  Most recently she helped students in a unit that gives them real world experience of being a statistician through the Macquarie University PACE program.
