Biography

Within the broader discipline of media and communication, Qin's research expertise and interest is International and Intercultural communication, strategic communication (including development communication), international edcuation.
She has successfully supervised more than 10 PhD completions. Supervised PhD project topics include digitalisation of mass media in Thailand; reformation of China's broadcasting TV system; political communications in Taiwan; health education and communication in Thailand and Malaysia; radio programing and culture in Columbia; framing of development sustainability in India; application of computer games for intercultural competence development in Australian, American, and Swiss schools; international news coverage in Malaysia; and Chinese public diplomacy.
Subjects taught include international public relations and advertising, development communication, political economy of communication, media and communication research methodology, intercultural communicatioin.
