Personal profile

Rabia received her PhD degree in Health Innovation at Centre for Health Informatics (AIHI), Macquarie University in 2019. Her PhD candidature was funded by International Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (iMQRES). Her PhD research focuses on looking the inefficiencies in systematic reviews ecosystem. Using software engineering principles as a lens through which to examine the issues of systematic reviews, her research is based on improving the transparency, completeness, and efficiency of systematic review ecosystem to reduce the waste in clinical research. In her research, she used natural language processing methods for the extraction of systematic reviews data, and machine learning for classification tasks. Rabia’s research interests include software engineering, clinical health informatics and machine learning. Currently, she is honorary postdoctoral fellow at Centre for Health Informatics.
