Biography

Overview

Rajan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at MUCHE. Prior to this, he was a PhD candidate at the MUCHE for 3 years (2016-2020). He has previously worked at Spinal Centre of Southern Denmark in Denmark as a data manager and at the University of Southern Denmark, Esbjerg as an Instructor (Economic Evaluation).

Experience

Rajan's interest and expertise are in economic modelling, health technology assessment and statistical analyses of healthcare programs using real-world data. At Macquarie University he is involved in evaluating submissions to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) and the Medical Benefits Advisory Committee (MSAC). His PhD was on "Health economic evaluation of childhood hearing screening using real-world data" which was considered by his examiners to be in the top 10% of doctoral-level research in the field. He has extensively published in peer-reviewed journals, which are widely cited in the international research field. He has also been significantly involved in the academic community throughout his thesis. He worked as Research Assistant (casual position) at MUCHE.

Rajan has presented his works in different national and international conferences and seminars, including the Australian Health Economics Society (Hobart, 2018 and Melbourne, 2019), Nordic Health Economic Study Group (Reykjavik, Iceland 2019) and external seminar (University of York, 2019).
