Biography
Rajan Sharma is a research fellow at MUCHE. Prior to this, he was a PhD candidate at the MUCHE for 3 years (2016–2020). He completed his MSc degree from the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, in 2015.
Rajan's interests and expertise are in economic modelling, health technology assessment and statistical analyses of healthcare programs using real-world data. At Macquarie University, he is involved in evaluating submissions to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) and the Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC). He is also involved in statistical and economic evaluations of health interventions, assessing their cost-effectiveness against accepted thresholds to inform decision-making. He has published extensively in high-rated economic and medical journals, earning him wide recognition in the international research community.
