Dr Rhiannon Campbell is a biomechanist and early-career researcher in the Department of Health Sciences at Macquarie University. Rhiannon earned her PhD at the University of Canberra, in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Sport, developing methods for using wearable technology to monitor training load in artistic gymnastics. Rhiannon is an Accredited Exercise Scientist and a Level 1 Sport Scientist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA), and has many years of practical experience working in high-performance sporting institutes improving elite athlete performance (Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra) and in clinical settings conducting gait analyses for high-risk patients (The Biomechanics Lab, Adelaide).
Rhiannon has a particular interest in elite sports, running and landing biomechanics, wearable sensor technology, gymnastics and aesthetic sports research, clinical gait analysis, and injury prevention research.
