Biography

Dr Robert Jack is Senior Lecturer in International Business and Convenor of the China Business Research Network (CBRN).

He has Masters Degrees in both Marketing and International Business and was awarded his Ph.D from Monash University.  His previous professional experience, comprising managerial positions in both the public and private sectors, involved the development and implementation of key marketing strategies including the planning, introduction and implementation of customer management initiatives. His work experience has also included consultation and training.

Robert’s research has been presented at various national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals such as International Business Review (IBR), International Small Business Journal (ISBJ), International Journal of Human Resource Management (IJHRM) and International Journal of Operations & Production Management (IJOPM) amongst others.  He is currently co-editing a special issue of the International Journal of Human Resource Management focusing on the internationalization of Chinese banks and financial intermediaries due for publication in 2019. 

Robert has previously taught at Monash University, Swinburne University of Technology and City University of Hong Kong.  He has had visiting positions at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). From 2011 he has been on the Executive of the Australia and New Zealand International Business Academy (ANZIBA - as Secretary and Treasurer (2011-17) and Vice President - Treasurer (2017 - current)
