Biography
I am a molecular geneticist with interests in developing genomic resources for environmentally, medically and economically important insect species. My current research explores fundamental questions of insect domestication, geographical variation, ecological competence, reproductive fitness and re-mating inhibition. I am also involved in the identification of sex selection genes in for the development of genetic sexing fruit fly strains for use in sterile insect technique applications.
