Biography

Sagda is a mixed-methods researcher with strong qualitative and quantitative skills. With experience and qualifications in health systems research, IT and engineering, Sagda brings a rich interdisciplinary knowledge to her work. In addition to her role as a research assistant, she is also completing a PhD in Health Innovation exploring the systemic unintended consequences of telehealth in rural Australia. She uses systems thinking tools, both qualitative and quantitative such as Causal Loop Diagrams (CLD), Systems Archetypes and System Dynamics Modelling to investigate and model wicked problems.  Her broad research interests include evaluating and enhancing alternative models of care to support and improve healthcare provision, all while adopting a holistic approach that applies an equity and complexity lens. Sagda was awarded a competitive Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (MQRES) for her PhD studies.
