Biography
I am an urban and environmental geographer and my interdisciplinary work weaves together theories of justice and urbanism in the context of climate and energy, with a focus on activist, grassroots, and community actors. Overall, my work seeks to understand how we might facilitate more equitable responses to climate change and energy transitions, as well as the nature of Asian urbanisms under conditions of climate change. My current projects focus on the politics and governance of urban climate justice across the Asia-Pacific and just energy transitions in Australia. I am the Director of Education in the School of Communication, Society and Culture and the Editor-in-Chief for Geographical Research.
