Biography

Dr Seyedfoad Taghizadeh received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Macquarie University, Australia, in 2018. After completion, he joined Queensland Micro- and Nanotechnology Centre, Griffith University, Brisbane as a research fellow, and then undertook a research fellowship at the School of Engineering at the Macquarie University until 2020.      

Because of his contributions in electric-vehicle charging systems, he was a finalist in Fresh Science 2019 competition in New South Wales. He was awarded the fellowship of Higher Education Academy (FHEA), United Kingdom in January 2020. He is currently a lecturer in electrical engineering at Macquarie University and holding two honorary visiting scholar positions, at the University of Technology Sydney and at the Griffith University. His research interests include electric vehicle chargers, grid impact and power management of fast and ultra-fast charging stations in grid-connected and islanded microgrids, control for power electronics converters for renewable energy (PV) integration and energy storage systems.
