Biography

Shanara Visvalingam is a PhD candidate within the Centre for Emotional Health at Macquarie University, supervised by A/Prof Melissa Norberg and Dr Natasha Magson. Shanara's PhD research focuses on understanding the mechanisms between perfectionism and psychological distress in university students. In addition to perfectionism, her other research interests include shame, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and hoarding disorder.
