Biography
Shari is a Research Fellow at Macquarie University Centre for the Health Economy (MUCHE), focusing on health technology assessment (HTA).
Prior to joining MUCHE, Shari worked in consulting firms and in the pharmaceutical industry developing and executing HTA strategies for healthcare technologies including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics. Shari is proficient at conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses of clinical evidence and evaluating cost-effectiveness and financial models for HTA projects. Shari has engaged with numerous stakeholders including payers, clinicians, and patient groups to understand their perspectives and needs and incorporate them into HTA strategies. Shari has coordinated HTA teams to ensure timely and high-quality HTA submissions.
At MUCHE, Shari is working on the evaluation of submissions to the Australian Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) and Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC).
