Biography

Shazia K. Jan is Director, Learning & Teaching, Faculty of Business & Economics at Macquarie University. Shazia is an early career academic with experience in learning design and analytics in higher education and professional learning. During her doctorate research she has authored several papers in high quality journals in technology-enhanced learning. Shazia has developed a methodological framework centred around social network analysis for investigating online learning communities. She is also a reviewer for a number of journals in technology-enhanced learning and education. A key focus of her current role is implementation of research informed, evidence-based practice in learning and teaching across the faculty.

Research interests

Her research interests include online learning design and analytics, social network analysis, community-based learning, and online learning self-efficacy.
