Sydney is a part-time Associate Lecturer (Teaching and Leadership) of the Translation and Interpreting Program in the Department of Linguistics, the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences. He has also been working as a freelance conference interpreter and document translator for the past 15 years in Australia.
Sydney has been teaching at the Translation and Interpreting Program since 2008, starting on a sessional basis. Over the years, he has taught various translation and interpreting units, with a primary focus on conference interpreter education.
