Biography
Dr. Shun Takeuchi is an Honorary Associate Professor at Macquarie University with over 15 years of experience in Machine Learning and Mathematical Modeling.
He has engaged in applied AI research in Fujitsu to solve real-world problems in various industries such as retail and manufacturing after receiving his PhD in Physics. His research specialty is an approach that combines AI and domain knowledge for semi-supervised/domain-adaptive modeling. He has published over 10 papers, applied for over 20 patents, given over 5 invited talks, and received best paper awards and 1st place of an AI challenge in conferences.
He has launched Fujitsu Macquarie AI Research Lab, a joint project with Fujitsu. He has been leading the AI Lab and supervising the research team in Fujitsu to develop personalized digital coaching technology using human sensing and generative AI technologies.
