Biography
Simon Clark is a highly successful scientific leader with an international focus who has bridged academe and national laboratories throughout his career. He is widely recognized for his expertise in developing and strengthening collaborative research programs around the world.
Since 2012 he has been at Macquarie University where he has contributed through a number of roles including Deputy Head of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences and leading the successful bid for the cooperative research center SmartCrete CRC.
His specialties include: leading community research initiatives, managing major research facility developments, collaborative research, Earth science, materials engineering, synchrotron, and neutron scattering and imaging, high-pressure science and technology, cement and concrete research.
