Biography

Sophia Su is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Corporate Governance. Her research expertise lies in management accounting, with a particular focus on management control systems, environmental management systems, performance appraisal systems, management innovation, and employee behaviour management.

She has published in leading international journals, including Management Accounting Research, Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Financial Accountability & Management, Australasian Journal of Environmental Management, and Journal of Management Control.

She has successfully supervised numerous PhD and Master of Research students and has extensive teaching experience across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, delivering courses in management accounting, financial accounting, and, more recently, units within the Chartered Accountants (CA) program.

Her current research is increasingly focused on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), where she explores how management control systems can help address pressing challenges in the sector, contributing to workforce sustainability, ethical practice, and system resilience.
